To change your own account preferences click on the My Account menu:

Then select the Preferences tab and click Edit.

You'll find the language, time zone, time and date format settings there.After you click Save & Close, it will reload the application and apply the new settings.

Global Setting for Anonymous Users

To change global preferences for all anonymous front-end users, go to: Customization > Styling and Front-end Settings:

Make changes and click Save.

When you are logged in to the knowledge base, your account language preference overrides the front-end language setting.

You can also setup the default preferences for all future users.

If you're not logged in, you can see the current version at the bottom of the login screen:

After login to the admin area you will see the version at the bottom left:

To change the user interface language just for yourself, click on the My Account menu.

Then select the Preferences tab and click Edit.

Then you can change the Language option to a desired language.

After you click Save & Close, it will reload the application and apply the new UI language.

Google Chrome

Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Options".

Click the "Under the Hood" tab, locate the "Privacy" section and click the "Clear browsing data" button.

Select "Delete cookies and other site data" to delete all cookies from the list, and make sure that "Clear data from this period" is set to "Everything".

Then click on the "Clear browsing data" button.

Click on the Close button when you've finished.

Mozilla Firefox

Click on "Tools", then select "Clear Recent History...".

Select "Cookies" to delete all cookies from the list, and make sure that "Time range to clear" is set to "Everything".

Then click on the "Clear Now" button.

Internet Explorer 8

Click "Safety" on the Command bar

Select "Delete Browsing History"

Select the option for cookies and click "Delete".

Internet Explorer 7

Please note that the method that works for Internet Explorer 8 doesn't work for Internet Explorer 7. To clear cookies in IE7, follow the steps below.

Exit Internet Explorer 7, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.

Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, and then press ENTER

On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box

In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete Cookies

In the Delete Cookies dialog box, click Yes.

A: You can use "lost password" feature to generate a new password.

It will ask you for your login name and sends a link to your email address that allows you to generate a new password.

What if "lost password" feature doesn't work for you for some reason?

If this feature doesn't work for you for some reason, for example if SMTP is not configured in your KMP installation, or you do not remember your login, you can change your password right in the database.

Database contains MD5 hash of your password, so to change it you need to do the following:

1. Open KMP database using a database management software like phpMyAdmin or HeidiSQL, for example.
2. Open the "users" table.
3. Find the entry for your user.
4. Use some MD5 hash generator, for example this one:
   http://www.adamek.biz/md5-generator.php
   and generate MD5 hash for your new password, for example "admin123".
5. Copy-paste generated hash to the "passw" column of your user entry in the DB.
6. You can also find your username at "login" column of your user entry.
7. Now you can login using your username and new password.
