Unable to download a file (attachment) or export article to PDF via https (SSL) in Internet Explorer

If you're using Internet Explorer (version 8 and older) and open KMP with SSL or TLS (KMP URL starts with https://), you may get the following message when you try download an attachment (it could be a PDF or MS Office file):

Unable to download.
Internet Explorer was unable to open this site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.


Microsoft reports that this is a known problem that occurs when you try to download a file via SSL:

Please try to fix it accordingly to the Microsoft Support solution in that article.
